Chelsea fans lavished praises on goalkeeper Robert Sanchez after another impressive showing between the sticks for the Blues in their draw against Nottingham Forest. The Spain international was in fine form as the Blues were held to a 1-1 draw by Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Having been rested for the UEFA Europa Conference League tie against Gent in midweek, Sanchez was restored into the starting XI against Forest. The former Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper was backed by coach Enzo Maresca after a couple of mistakes in their 4-2 win against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Robert Sanchez failed to keep a clean sheet in the game, but he proved his worth to the team with a series of saves, particularly in the second half. The 26-year-old goalkeeper made two important saves in the closing minutes of the encounter to help his side secure a draw at home.

Chelsea fans on X were impressed with Sanchez's performance. They expressed their appreciation with posts like these:

A fan hailed the goalkeeper for putting on a Man of the Match performance in the game.

"Robert Sanchez, take your flowers. MOTM performance," they wrote.

Another fan praised Sanchez for saving the team from defeat.

"Robert Sanchez just saved us from being bantered for the next 2 weeks. Don’t scroll without liking!" they posted.
"Robert Sanchez really made it up for the stinker he dropped last week", another fan added.
"Robert Sanchez literally saved us today. #Chelsea" a fan posted.

Sanchez made eight saves in the game, five of which came from inside the box. The goalkeeper also made 11 recoveries and a high claim for Enzo Maresca's side, helping them avoid defeat. His most telling contribution came in the 12th minute of added time when he pushed a goal-bound glancing header from Jota Silva wide.

Chelsea drop points against ten-man Nottingham Forest

Chelsea dropped points at home to Nottingham Forest, who finished the game with ten men. The Blues extended their unbeaten run in the league to six games as they came from behind to pick up a point in front of their fans.

Nottingham Forest defended diligently, as they have all season, limiting their opponents to just 0.93xG in the first half. They went ahead against the run of play when Chris Wood stabbed home from close range in the 49th minute.

Chelsea showed their resilience to find a leveler through Noni Madueke just eight minutes later, with Cole Palmer providing the assist. Forest were reduced to ten men in the 78th minute when James Ward-Prowse received a second booking for handling the ball. Both goalkeepers, Matz Sels and Robert Sanchez, put on a clinic to help their respective sides avoid defeat.
