Manchester City midfielder Jack Grealish posted a picture of Brazil legend Kaka after meeting the former player following a training session. City are on a pre-season tour of the States.

The four-time reigning English champions commenced their preparations for the new season with a 4-3 win over Celtic in North Carolina before losing 3-2 to AC Milan in New York.

Pep Guardiola's side have travelled to Orlando, Florida, for their next pre-season outing against Barcelona on Wednesday (July 31). After a training session, Grealish caught up with Kaka and clicked a picture with the 2002 FIFA World Cup winner.

Posting a picture of the duo on Instagram story, he wrote (as per GOAL):

"What a legend. What a player @kaka."

The Manchester City midfielder missed a place in England's Euro 2024 squad owing to his rather underwhelming 2023-24 season. Grealish managed just three goals and as many assists in 36 outings across competitions even as City won an unprecedented Premier League four-peat.

The 28-year-old will hope to get on the scoresheet in City's final pre-season game with Chelsea on August 3 in Colombus, Ohio, before they commence their 2024-25 season against Manchester United in the FA Community Shield on August 10.

Former England boss Gareth Southgate explained that he didn't include Jack Grealish in his final 26-man squad for the Euros in Germany because he felt that there were other players in better form.

Southgate - who has resigned from his post after the Three Lions lost 2-1 to Spain in the final - had said at the time about omitting Grealish and a few other established names in his squad (as per Mirror):

"The fact is we have players who have been playing extremely well all season in the league and we just feel other players have had stronger seasons."

The Manchester City midfielder was a part of England's squad in their shootout defeat to Italy in the Euro 2020 final. He has two goals and eight assists in 36 games for the Three Lions.
