Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has insisted his rift with Jadon Sancho is over after the English winger was reinstated into his first team. The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund after a massive falling out with his manager.

Sancho and Ten Hag have made up, and the attacker has been training with the Red Devils for pre-season. It's a huge twist in the saga, given that many felt he had no future at Old Trafford. His public dispute with the Dutch tactician last September led to his banishment from the first team.

Ten Hag suggested the pair's problems had been put aside and that they were moving on. He also hinted at Sancho having a future with the club (via transfer expert Fabrizio Romano):

"We’ve drawn the line, we move on. Manchester United need good players and Jadon is a good player. We have drawn that line and we move on, yes."

Jadon Sancho impressed back at Dortmund after a frustrating spell at Manchester United. He posted three goals and as many assists in 21 games across competitions at Signal Iduna Park.

There were suggestions that Sancho would seal a permanent return to BvB, but that's not the case. He's also been linked with a move to Serie A, with Juventus seemingly an option, but he may now stay with Ten Hag's Reds.

Jadon Sancho didn't play in Manchester United's 1-0 defeat to Norwegian outfit Rosenborg in their first pre-season friendly. Ten Hag's side suffered a disappointing loss and were outplayed at Lerkendal Stadion on Monday (July 15).

Sancho wasn't part of the 25-man squad that traveled for the game as he continues to improve his fitness. Ten Hag had five senior players in the team, with Marcus Rashford, Casemiro, Mason Mount, Jonny Evans, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka playing.

The 23-cap England international could be part of the squad that face Scottish Premier League giants Rangers on Saturday (July 20). He looks certain to be available for Manchester United for the pre-season tour of the United States.

The Red Devils face Arsenal (July 28), Real Betis (August 1), and Liverpool (August 4) in the United States. Sancho may want to get game time under his belt to either show Ten Hag he deserves to be back or perhaps prepare for a move elsewhere.
