Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) coach Luis Enrique's message to Kylian Mbappe before facing Barcelona in the UEFA Champions League last season is doing the rounds. A Spanish documentary titled "You have no f---ing idea" showed insights into the preparations ahead of the clash between the European heavyweights.

Last season, while Kylian Mbappe was playing for PSG, they faced Barcelona in the Champions League quarter-final. The Catalan club was managed by midfield great Xavi Hernandez while his former boss Luis Enrique was in his first season of managing the French champions.

The first leg was played at the Parc des Princes where the hosts were beaten 2-3. Raphinha opened the scoring in the first half but two quick-fire goals by Ousmane Dembele and Vitinha after the restart gave the home side the lead.

Raphinha restored parity in the 62nd minute and defender Andreas Christensen scored the winner 13 minutes from time. The documentary captures the build-up to the second leg which saw Luis Enrique focus especially on Kylian Mbappe ahead of the trip to Camp Nou.

ESPN report the manager encouraging his star player in the documentary:

"You have to be a leader. You have to help us. Defend like a son of a b----, lead by example, press ... and we will be a f---ing machine," he said ahead of the second leg against Barcelona.

Luis Enrique was not too happy with the team's defending in the first leg that saw them concede three at home. The Spaniard won nine trophies during his three seasons in charge at Camp Nou including a historic treble in the 2014-15 season.

Fired up Kylian Mbappe helped PSG knock Barcelona out of the Champions League

Whatever the former Barca boss told the French forward worked wonders as the Ligue 1 side came to Catalonia with vengeance. Raphinha scored again to give the Spanish side a two-goal cushion in the aggregate score, but a red card to Ronald Araujo around the half-hour mark completely turned the tide.

Former Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele levelled the score in the first half before Vitinha struck again in the second. With the aggregate scores level, it was the Kylian Mbappe show.

The 25-year-old scored from the spot in the 61st minute before sealing the tie in the 89th minute with a well-taken goal. This took his tally to six goals in four matches against the La Liga side.

PSG were eventually knocked out in the semis by Borussia Dortmund, who lost to Mbappe's new side Real Madrid in the final.
