According to a report in the Daily Mail, Manchester United forward Antony is set to move to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce on loan. The Brazilian's time at Manchester has been poor, following his arrival from Ajax.

The 24-year-old joined the Red Devils reportedly for €95 million in the summer of 2022 after a protected pursuit from Eredivisie giants, Ajax. He has failed to live up to expectations since he arrived, scoring 11 goals and providing five assists in 83 appearances. He reportedly has cost the Old Trafford-based outfit a princely €5.9 million per goal involvement.

The report suggests that the Brazilian is open to a move to Turkey, where he could potentially rediscover his best form under Jose Mourinho. He currently sits behind Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, and Amad Diallo despite his reported £ 200,000 a week wage.

If the cost of paying for his services does not prove prohibitive, he could join Manchester United alumni, Jose Mourinho and Fred in Istanbul.

Manchester United CEO backs Erik Ten Hag

Manchester United CEO Omar Berrada has backed underfire boss Erik Ten Hag despite his poor run of form with the club. The Dutch manager oversaw a poor finish for the English giants, leading them to an 8th-place finish in the English Premier League last season.

Speaking ahead of the Red Devil's 3-0 home drubbing at the hands of eternal rivals Liverpool, Barrada said:

"So in terms of the contract [extension], that was a decision that was taken prior to both of our arrivals. But as I said before, we're very happy with that decision. Erik has our full backing and we have worked very closely together, as Dan said before, in this transfer window. We're going to continue working very closely with him to help him get the best results out of the team. Do we still believe in? Erik? Absolutely. We think Erik is the right coach for us and we’re fully backing him."

Ten Hag has won two trophies in his two full seasons with Manchester United, but his poor recent performances in the league will be a source of concern for the club despite his new contract with the club. The 20-time English champions have lost two of their three opening games in the league so far.
