Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos praised Turkey international Arda Guler's finishing. He added that Guler's belter of a goal at Euro 2024 against Georgia was not down to luck but his talent.

At the launch of The Icon League, Kroos hailed his former teammate Guler, saying:

"When Arda played more at the end of the season, he scored every time. His finishing is unreal. His goal at the EUROs was not luck."

Speaking about the Turkish star's talent last year, Kroos had said (via Managing Madrid):

"He has a great talent for his age. He has a very, very fine left foot. And he will show it many times. He has a great shot with his left foot, he is very good technically, especially in tight spaces. I think he is a pretty good and smart signing, especially for the future."

Toni Kroos retired from football earlier this year after winning the UEFA Champions League and La Liga with Real Madrid. He could not replicate the success with the national team as Germany failed to win the Euro 2024 at home.

Toni Kroos sent warning to Real Madrid youngster

Toni Kroos was on the Einfach mal luppen podcast last year when he pointed out that expectations from Guler should be kept in check. He also talked about why youngsters need to be handled carefully. He said (via Managing Madrid):

"You have to be careful with so many expectations. There were also players who did not live up to them afterwards. Especially in this club, there are other issues that determine whether someone succeeds or not. It is not just about having talent, technique or shot."
"He is one of those talents who asks: 'How do you do that?'. He wants clues and tips, there are many 18-year-old players who think they are already very good and do not need any advice at all. But he has that mentality of learning," added Kroos.

Arda Guler has played just 12 matches for Real Madrid so far after joining them last summer but has still managed to score six goals. He also dealt with injury issues last season and would be raring to go in the upcoming term.
