Chelsea manager Enzo Maresa has responded to reports linking the club with Napoli's Victor Osimhen and Atletico Madrid's Joao Felix. According to reports, the Spanish heavyweights have rejected the Blues' €45 million offer for the Portuguese forward.

The Blues recently acquired Pedro Neto from Wolves for a reported fee of £51.3 million. With several attacking options already available, including Raheem Sterling, Mykhailo Mudryk, Cole Palmer, Noni Madueke, and Christopher Nkunku, Neto's addition adds a lot of depth to an already handsome-looking side.

However, Neto's injury concerns will imply that Maresca will have to manage his workload efficiently. Be that as it may, Chelsea is still looking at attacking reinforcements with Felix and Osimhen topping the list.

Speaking during his first pre-match press conference of the Premier League season ahead of the Blues' clash against Manchester City, Maresca shared his two cents on the upcoming potential transfers.

Here's what he said (via football.london):

"The only thing I can say, I have to say the same: They are not our players, so it's not correct to talk about a Napoli player or an Atletico Madrid player."

The former Leicester City manager revealed that all players are fit besides Reece James. The Englishman missed most of last season due to injury and his fitness remains a matter of great concern for Chelsea.

James picked up a hamstring injury and remains a doubt for Sunday's clash against City. Maresca however, said he was unaware if it was the same injury that had kept the club captain on the sidelines last season.

Chelsea reportedly leading the race to sign Jadon Sancho from Manchester United

With complications involving the transfers of Felix and Osimhen, the Blues have reportedly turned their attention towards Jadon Sancho.

According to the German outlet Fussball.news, the Blues are interested in getting Sancho to Stamford Bridge after United's negotiations with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) reportedly collapsed.

The Englishman was banished from United's playing XI after a fallout with Erik ten Hag. He returned to his former side Borussia Dortmund on loan and impressed with his performances. While he has fixed things with the Dutch manager, he was linked to PSG before negotiations reportedly collapsed.

However, Chelsea have been eyeing developments around his future and remain in pole position to sign him on a season-long loan with an option to buy. The Red Devils will sign two academy graduates as part of the deal.
