Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that strikers would be the most in-demand players during the transfer window of the 2024 summer. He also stated that several top clubs are looking for new managers across Europe.

With the change in managers, comes the need to sign new players as well. The transfer specialist journalist added that there will be a surge in demand for strikers. Romano claimed several top clubs like Chelsea, Manchester United, Arsenal, and others are looking for new attacking frontmen.

He said on the Rising Ballers YouTube channel:

"This summer the transfer market will be busy again. All around Europe, in England of course, but also in other countries. There are many changes with managers. [It will] probably be one of the biggest domino [effects] when it comes to managers. We see many jobs changing, this is also a breath of fresh air for the clubs looking to bring in new people."

Romano added:

"When you want a new manager, it also means you want new players. I expect many clubs to be really busy. It will be very busy with strikers [this summer]. There are many clubs looking for strikers like Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal. Let's see what happens and what these clubs do."

He furthered:

"It's the same in Europe and Italy too. PSG [are looking for a striker] after the Kylian Mbappe [transfer] to Real Madrid. We have to see what happens in Barcelona. The domino around Europe would be very big for strikers. I'm really curious to see what happens with talents, there are many of them who will be on the market. Players like Sesko for example and many others."

Fabrizio Romano heaps praise on Chelsea bound Renato Veiga

Chelsea are close to completing a €14 million deal for Portuguese footballer Renato Veiga. Fabrizio Romano has showered praise on the 20-year-old FC Basel star.

Romano highlighted the youngster's qualities, who mainly plays as a defensive midfielder. However, he can also play as a centre-back and a left-back. Veiga's tall stature gives him a physical presence in defense.

Romano pointed these facts out while speaking on the Here We Go podcast. Veiga could become a handy player for the Blues even if he doesn't start for Enzo Maresca's side week in and week out.
