Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has pointed out a noticeable difference between former boss Jurgen Klopp and current head coach Arne Slot. The German decided to end his nine-year stay at Anfield after the previous season's conclusion.

While with the Reds, Klopp managed the side for 489 matches across competitions. He won the UEFA Champions League and Premier League trophies once each at Merseyside.

Despite uncertainties over the club's future under new boss Slot, Liverpool have gotten off to a fast start in the new league campaign. They've racked up 15 points in their first six matches and sit on top of the standings.

Explaining the difference between both managers, Mac Allister said (via CaughtOffSide):

"I think between Arne and Jurgen the principles are the same. I don't think there's a huge difference. I just think now we have more of a structure and some patterns that we are trying to improve. That's the main difference."

Even after this wonderful start, Slot will have to do extremely well to match Klopp's legacy at Anfield. Liverpool have Champions League action coming up as they prepare to host Bologna on Wednesday (October 2). They managed to defeat AC Milan in their opening tie of this competition 3-1.

Following their midweek European night, the Reds will be back in league action this weekend. They will travel to Selhurst Park to take on Crystal Palace on Saturday (October 5).

Liverpool manager Arne Slot seems to be setting high standards for his team ahead of the Champions League match against Bologna. The Reds beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-1 on Saturday in a league clash (September 28).

However, the Dutch tactician openly discussed the Merseysiders' poor performance in the final 15 minutes of the game. Claiming that his side repeatedly lost the ball cheaply, Slot said (via The Guardian):

"We didn't concede anything in the last 15 minutes- I think they only had two shots in the second half- but in promising situations we lost the ball before it led to a chance, and we lost the ball a few times really easy before it even got to a promising situation. We as a team, if you have so much quality, you cannot accept mediocrity."

Ibrahima Konate opened the scoring in this tie at the stroke of halftime (45+2'), while Rayan Ait-Nouri equalized in the 56th minute. Five minutes later, Mohamed Salah scored his team's winner from the penalty spot.
