Manchester United legend Roy Keane was not particularly impressed with Arsenal duo William Saliba and Gabriel in the Gunners' recent Premier League clash against Manchester City. As Micah Richards was quick to heap praise on the defenders, Keane claimed that it was nothing that had never done before by players in the league.

Speaking on Sky Sports, Richards stated that Saliba and Gabriel were exceptional. He added that the Brazilian has improved well and said:

"Gabriel and Saliba were unbelievable. To defend like that for 45 minutes in the second half against the best team in the league is remarkable. When Gabriel came to Arsenal he was making a few mistakes, but he has changed his game to be reliable."

However, Keane was not impressed and interrupted with:

"They conceded two goals. They couldn't have defended that well. They conceded two goals. Can I tell you something? Teams can get a result with 10 men…it has happened before. It's like we're making out they did something extraordinary. Listen Arsenal did well but Man City were really poor, no overlaps, no movement. It was more poor play from Man City than brilliant Arsenal defending."

Arsenal drew 2-2 at Manchester City, with John Stones scoring a dramatic 98th minute equalizer. Erling Haaland opened the scoring before Riccardo Calafiori and Gabriel scored to make it 2-1 before half-time.

Arsenal legend slams referee after Manchester City draw

Arsenal legend Ian Wright was not happy with Michael Oliver after the 2-2 draw with Manchester City. He claimed that the referee made a mistake with Kyle Walker before the first Gunners goal as he did not allow the defender to get back into position after calling him to talk.

Wright believes that the referee understood his mistake and tried to correct it by sending off Leandro Trossard before half-time. He said:

"If Trossard doesn't get sent off, I think a lot of the chat would be about the mistake Michael Oliver has made with Kyle Walker. But even the foul [by Trossard] could easily have been a yellow card. So to kick the ball away, with everything that's happened, there's no excuse for it. I think he will look back and think, 'gosh, what was I doing?' I was thinking that at some stage he [Oliver] is going to look to even it up because that was a massive mistake that he made with Kyle Walker."

Arsenal sit fourth in the Premier League after five matches, while Manchester City are on top of the table.
