Real Madrid will send a scout during the North London Derby to watch Arsenal's William Saliba and Tottenham Hotspur's Cristian Romero on Sunday, as per Defensa Central.

Los Blancos are aiming to add defenders to bolster their line-up in the next summer transfer window. As a result, they have William Saliba and Cristian Romero on their transfer radar. The Spurs will host Arsenal at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday, September 15. As a result, Madrid will send their scout to keep an eye on the defenders.

Saliba has solidified his place in Arsenal's starting XI under Mikel Arteta. As per CaughtOffside, apart from Real Madrid, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Bayern Munich are also interested in closing a deal for the Premier League defender. His contract with the Gunners will expire in the summer of 2027.

It's highly unlikely that Arsenal will let Saliba go, but if they do, they won't consider offers of less than €120 million. The Frenchman joined Arsenal in July 2019 and since then, he has made 86 appearances for the Gunners across all competitions. This season, he has helped the North London side keep two clean sheets out of the three Premier League games.

Meanwhile, as per TyC Sports' Guston Edul, top European clubs such as Manchester United, Real Madrid, and PSG were keen to get Romero's signature in the summer, but Tottenham wanted the Argentine defender to stay. As per TBR football, the Spurs are looking forward to signing a long-term deal with the Argentine.

Andriy Lunin signs contract extension with Real Madrid

Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin has signed a contract extension with Real Madrid. The 25-year-old's new deal with the Santiago Bernabeu outfit will expire in June 2030. The club made the official announcement on their website.

Last season, Madrid's first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois suffered an ACL injury. In his absence, Lunin made 31 appearances across all competitions for Los Blancos, keeping 12 clean sheets and conceding 32 goals.

Carlo Ancelotti's side also signed Kepa Arrizabalaga on a loan deal from Chelsea. However, he suffered an adductor injury and was later benched for most matches. Kepa made 20 appearances for Real Madrid, keeping nine clean sheets.

However, after the Belgian shot-stopper's return, Chelsea sparked their interest in signing Lunin and multiple reports stated that Madrid might offer a deal to Kepa Arrizabalaga. However, the Spanish goalkeeper has joined Premier League side Bournemouth on loan.
