Luka Modric has reacted on social media after his former Real Madrid teammate James Rodriguez's impressive performances during Copa America 2024. Colombia have secured a spot in the semi-finals of the competition, where they'll face Uruguay on July 10.

Nestor Lorenzo's side thrashed Panama 5-0 to book their slot in the semi-finals of the competition. Rodriguez scored from the penalty spot during the quarter-final game and the former Real Madrid star has now scored once and has provided five assists in the tournament.

Apart from his goal against Panama, Rodriguez also set up Jhon Cordoba and Luis Diaz's goals, becoming the first player ever to have three goal contributions in the first half of a Copa America game. Rodriguez has also won the Man of the Match award in three of Colombia's four games in the tournament.

He is clearly rolling back the years and Luka Modric has now reacted to Rodriguez's performances with three fire emojis.

James Rodriguez took world football by storm during the 2014 FIFA World Cup, winning the Golden Boot scoring six goals. His goal against Uruguay in the Round of 16 won the Puskas Award that year. Whether Rodriguez can produce a similar performance in this year's Copa America semi-final remains to be seen.

Luka Modric and James Rodriguez became teammates when the Colombian joined Real Madrid at the start of the 2014-15 season. They played 66 matches together, combining for two goals.
