According to a report by AS, Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane's son, Enzo Zidane has retired from professional football at the age of 29. The former midfielder spent most of his career at the Madrid-based club but called time on his career after going without a club since his time with CF Fuenlabrada ended in 2023.

Enzo was born on March 24, 1995, when his father still played for Girdons de Bordeaux. He began his career in the Juventus youth ranks before moving to the Real Madrid under 17s. He played seven times for the club's under-19 side and then made 78 appearances for the Castilla side.

Enzo Zidane scored seven times and made 15 assists for Castilla before making one appearance for the senior team, which ended with a goal. The former midfielder did not have a career as pivotal as his father, who made 227 appearances for Los Blancos, scoring 49 and assisting 67 times.


Former Real Madrid defender announces retirement from football

Real Madrid legend Raphael Varane has announced his retirement from professional football at 31 following his struggles with injury. The Frenchman enjoyed a great career for club and country and retired as one of the most decorated players in the sport's history.

Varane began his career in his homeland with RC Lens, making 24 appearances for them before moving to the Spanish capital in 2011. He spent a decade with Los Blancos, making 360 appearances to help the legendary club to four UEFA Champions League titles and three La Liga crowns.

The Frenchman then helped his country to the World Cup in 2018 and later moved to Manchester United in 2021 in a deal worth €40 million. He made 95 appearances in three years for the Red Devils, helping them to an FA Cup and League Cup.

He played his last game for Serie A minnows Como but picked up an injury that spelt the end of his illustrious career that saw him win trophies for two of the most storied teams in the world.
