Real Madrid announce date for Endrick presentation ceremony at Santiago Bernabeu

Palmeiras v Santos - Paulistao 2024
Endrick will soon be unveiled as a new Real Madrid player.

Real Madrid has officially announced that Endrick will be unveiled as a new Los Blancos player on Saturday, July 27, at the Santiago Bernabeu. The La Liga giants released a statement on their official website confirming his presentation ceremony.

The 17-year-old striker has joined Madrid from Brazilian outfit Palmeiras for a reported fee of €47.5 million. He is viewed as the future of Selecao football and will follow Kylian Mbappe in being presented at Los Merengues' iconic stadium. The statement reads:

"Real Madrid CF announces that on Saturday 27 July, at 12:00, the presentation of our player Endrick will take place at the Santiago Bernabéu stadium... President Florentino Perez will welcome Endrick to Real Madrid City for the signing ceremony that will bind our new player to the club for the next six seasons."

Mbappe, 25, was unveiled by Madrid on Tuesday (July 14) at a sold-out Bernabeu, and it was a memorable occasion for the France captain. Endrick will be equally excited to take to the 80,000-capacity stadium to greet Los Blancos fans for the first time. He dazzled for Palmeiras after arriving in their senior team in October 2022, aged 16. He posted 21 goals and four assists in 82 games for his boyhood club.

Endrick on how he plans to adapt to life at Real Madrid and his long-running connection with the club

Endrick grew up a Real Madrid fan, and his admiration of Los Blancos saw him clinch a move to the Bernabeu. He's set to join Carlo Ancelotti's squad, which is brimming with talent, including Brazilian trio Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Eder Militao.

The teenage wonderkid spoke highly of Vinicius and how he'll help him settle in at the Spanish capital club. He expressed excitement in an interview with L'Equipe:

"Vini will help me integrate in Madrid. He’s an extraordinary player. I cannot wait to live in Madrid, to learn a new culture, I’m eager to eat jamon."

Brazil's fourth youngest-ever debutant has a storied connection to Madrid that stems from his father. He was going to be named after the club's iconic former striker, Alfredo Di Stefano:

"My story with Real Madrid started before I was born; my dad wanted to name me ‘Di Stéfano’, but my mother refused."

Vinicius is a good role model for the Brazilian starlet to use amid his meteoric rise and move to Madrid. The Ballon d'Or frontrunner has flourished at the Bernabeu since arriving in July 2018, becoming one of their main protagonists.
