Newcastle United are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah amid interest from multiple clubs. The Englishman has been relegated from the first team and is training with the likes of Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja, who are also up for sale.

The 25-year-old wasn't included in the squad that travelled to the USA for their pre-season tour, implying that he's being forced out of the club. Another academy graduate who is slated to leave the club in search of greener pastures is Gallagher.

Gallagher was arguably Chelsea's best player last season, only behind Cole Palmer. He played an instrumental role in the absence of club captain Reece James. Atletico Madrid and Gallagher have reportedly reached an agreement, but the move has been stalled for now.

The Magpies are interested in signing Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi. Newcastle have reportedly bid £60million for the defender, but the Eagles value Guehi at £70m. According to Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas, the Magpies will try to bag Chalobah's signature and meet Chelsea's demand of £25m for the Englishman if a deal for Guehi fails.

Here's what Thomas said (via TBR Football):

"Newcastle are also thought to have Chalobah on their list too having had three bids for Guehi rejected. Chalobah is understood to be staying patient over his future despite being separated from Chelsea’s first-team group. He was not included on their pre-season tour to the USA and has been training with the likes of Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja, who are also up for sale."

Interestingly, Crystal Palace and Aston Villa are also eyeing developments around Chalobah's future. The Eagles will bid for the centre-back if they lose Guehi to the Magpies in the transfer window.

Manchester United were also on the list of teams interested in the 25-year-old's signature. However, they signed Leny Yoro from Lille instead as a full-time replacement for Raphael Varane.

Atletico Madrid reject Chelsea's bid for Joao Felix - Reports

Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are locked in negotiations for Joao Felix as part of the Gallagher deal. The Portuguese forward joined the Blues on loan in January 2023 and scored four goals in 20 appearances for the club. Former manager Mauricio Pochettino didn't want to keep Felix at the club and he returned to Atletico.

The 24-year-old has had a bittersweet time in Spain and according to reports, he wants to return to the Premier League. According to a report by Objetivo Atleti, the Spanish heavyweights have rejected a €45 million offer from Chelsea for the forward.

They currently value the 24-year-old at €60 million. However, it remains to be seen if the Blues will shell out that amount to sign the Portuguese forward with several attacking options already available.
