The Saudi Public Investment Fund (PIF) has contacted another Real Madrid regular starter after reportedly offering a billion-euro contract to Vinicius Junior. This time, they have approached the camp of defender Eder Militao. Although his destination club is still under wraps, the negotiations for a potential transfer began this week.

The 26-year-old defender first joined Los Blancos from Portuguese club FC Porto in 2019. It didn't take him much time to cement his position as one of the starting center-backs for Los Blancos. In January this year, he extended his contract for Real Madrid until June 30, 2028, with a reported exit clause of €500 million.

The Saudis first contacted the player's camp before establishing contact with his club. It is also reported that his agent, Ulisses Jorge, postponed his birthday celebrations to fly to Europe and discuss his client's future with Los Blancos representatives.

Militao has been one of the pillars at the back for the white outfit since he joined the club. In five years, he has played 156 games for Real Madrid and recorded 11 goals and five assists. He has also won two UEFA Champions Leagues, two European Super Cups, three La Ligas, three Spanish Super Cups, one Spanish Cup, and one FIFA Club World Cup during his stay at Santiago Bernabeu.

He also played the full 90 minutes in Real Madrid's 2-0 European Super Cup victory against Atalanta.

Vinicius Junior is another Real Madrid superstar who has been offered a lucrative contract by the Saudi PIF. According to reports, Saudi officials contacted Vinicius' camp just before his club's UEFA Super Cup clash against Atalanta. The Saudi PIF wanted Vinicius to consider joining the Saudi Pro League for five years and €1 billion.

The contract would've seen the 24-year-old earning €200 million per season as fixed pay and bonuses will be paid in addition to this amount. The Brazilian will also become the ambassador for the 2034 FIFA World Cup as a part of the contract.

Vinicius had a very successful run for Los Blancos last season and is being touted as one of the favorites to win the Ballon d'Or in 2024. The 24-year-old scored 24 goals and 11 assists last season in 39 appearances and also won the UEFA Champions League, La Liga, and Supercopa Espana.
