Dani Olmo's agent Andy Bara recently claimed that Barcelona turned down Paris Saint-Germain's (PSG) offer for Lamine Yamal. PSG were reportedly interested in signing the Spanish forward in the summer transfer window, as per Mundo Deportivo.

The Ligue 1 giants, who brought Neymar from Barcelona for a reported fee of €222 million in 2017, were prepared to make a €250 million offer for Lamal. As per the aforementioned report, PSG wanted to sign the 17-year-old because they saw him as a potential successor to Kylian Mbappe. The Frenchman left PSG in the summer on a free transfer to join La Liga giants Real Madrid.

PSG's sporting advisor Luis Campos recently attended the Thinking Football Summit in Portugal, where he was asked about the club's interest in Lamine Yamal. Campos praised the Barcelona forward, saying (via PSG Talk):

"Of course, I like Lamine Yamal, but also Dembele, Kang-in Lee, Asensio... Fantastic players of enormous quality. To say that Yamal is not a great player would be a huge mistake on my part, he is an excellent footballer and I'm very happy to see him playing at his level. But PSG are very happy with the players they have in these positions."

Dani Olmo's agent Andy Bara chipped in, saying:

"One thing I know is that Barca rejected a big offer from PSG for Lamine Yamal, which was worth around €250 million."

Barcelona planning to offer new contract to returning star, as per journalist

According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, Barcelona are looking forward to extending Spanish midfielder Gavi's contract. After missing 10 months of action due to an ACL injury, Gavi returned to group training recently.

The 20-year-old practiced with the entire team and could soon make his on-ground return. Moreover, Blaugrana are already planning to offer a new contract to the midfielder.

His current contract with the La Liga giants will expire in the summer of 2026. Gavi signed a deal with Blaugrana in 2021, which includes a release clause of €1 billion. Next summer, he would enter the last year of his contract but the Camp Nou outfit would hope to retain him.

Other than Gavi, the contracts of Pedri, Ronald Araujo, and Frenkie de Jong will also end in 2026.
