Toni Kroos reciprocated the nice gesture he received from former Real Madrid teammate Jude Bellingham after the latter heaped praise on him in an interview. Kroos took to his Twitter account and said that Bellingham is "one of a kind."

Toni Kroos and Jude Bellingham shared the locker room at Real Madrid last season. Their time together in the Spanish capital was curtailed as the former called time on his professional career following his run with Germany in Euro 2024.

Bellingham joined Los Blancos in the summer of 2023. His debut season at the Bernabeu was a memorable one, as he won the La Liga title and the UEFA Champions League, playing an integral part in both triumphs alongside Kroos.

Following Kroos' retirement, a video of Jude Bellingham waxing lyrical about the former midfielder was posted on X (formerly Twitter). Bellingham said:

"The impact he had on me was huge. He’s always willing to give you the ball so you feel involved, He’s intelligent, unique, smartest player I’ve played with. Grateful to have spent time with him on and off the pitch."

Toni Kroos, in response, wrote:

‘’He’s my man. One of a kind’’

Prior to this, Bellingham had paid tribute to Toni Kroos after the Germany international retired from the beautiful game. He stated his desire to share more time with him on the pitch.

Toni Kroos still visits his Real Madrid teammates in training but fears Carlo Ancelotti

Toni Kross stated that he still visits Ciudad Real Madrid Florentino Pérez, Real Madrid’s training complex, despite no longer playing for the club. The German midfielder, who also represented Bayern Munich in his career, seems to have a special affinity for Los Blancos.

However, Kroos said he fears coach Carlo Ancelotti could ask him to help with the training duties. In an interview with Diario AS, he said:

"I don’t know if they would think it would be great if I turned up from time to time and said I wanted to join. At the moment there is also the risk that Carlo will say to me: ‘Now you stay here’. Right now I don’t feel like training adults. I am going to open a youth academy in Madrid, so they will have to believe in it if I play along."
