Fans have reacted as Kylian Mbappe is set to make his Real Madrid debut in the UEFA Super Cup clash with reigning UEFA Europa League winners Atalanta in Warsaw on Wednesday (August 14).

The 25-year-old made his much-awaited move to Los Blancos last month on a free transfer following his involvement with France at Euro 2024, where Les Bleus lost 2-1 to eventual winners Spain in the semi-final.

Due to his deep run at the continental tournament, Mbappe wasn't a part of the Los Blancos squad that embarked on a pre-season tour of the US, where they won one of three games.

Nevertheless, the 25-year-old reported to Madrid training last week and is now set to make his competitive debut for his new club. That's because he has been named in the starting XI by manager Carlo Ancelotti to face Atalanta.

Seeing a first-time attacking trio of Vinicius Junior, Mbappe and Rodrygo, one fan foresees a landslide win for Los Blancos, tweeting:

"Omg we are winning 5-0."

Another chimed in:

"Pray for the rest of the world."

There were similar reactions from other fans, with Demigadd tweeting:

"Pray for Atalanta"

Obiekudz commented:

"Strongest possible XI"

Matthew Jama tweeted:

"Mbappe in starting 11"

Laufeysonn posted:

"Let's Mbappe first trophy of many"

The rest of the Los Blancos starting XI comprises midfielders Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni and Fede Valverde, defenders Dani Carvajal, Eder Militao, Antonio Rudiger and Ferland Mendy, and goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

Kylian Mbappe has arrived at Real Madrid in a rich vein of form. In what turned out to be last season at PSG in 2023-24, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner produced his most prolific season in club football.

Following the departure of Lionel Messi and Neymar, Mbappe led the Parisians from the front, registering an impressive 44 goals and 10 assists in 48 games across competitions.

Most of those goal contributions - expectedly - came in Ligue 1, with the Frenchman contributing 27 goals and seven assists in 29 outings as the Parisians romped to another league win.

Kylian Mbappe also sizzled in other competitions, bagging eight goals and three assists in six games in their victorious Coupe de France campaign. He scored once as Luis Enrique's side won the Trophee des Champions as they completed a domestic treble.

The current Real Madrid striker also scored eight times in 12 games in the UEFA Champions League, where PSG lost 2-0 on aggregate to Borussia Dortmund in the semi-finals.
