Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo slammed the match officials for disallowing a goal he scored during a friendly game against Spain in November 2010. In the first half of the match, Ronaldo got past Gerard Pique and scooped the ball over Iker Casillas. As Ronaldo's shot was dropping into the net, his teammate Nani rushed to the ball from an outside position.

The goal was immediately disallowed for offside as soon as Nani touched the ball. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner was fuming as he threw his captain's armband on the pitch. After the match, Nani said he thought he wasn't offside. He also apologized to Ronaldo about the whole situation, saying (via talkSPORT):

"I touched the ball because I thought I wasn't offside. Everything happened so quickly. After having time to think about it I apologized to Ronaldo. It was a great piece of play and I shouldn't have ruined it."

However, Cristiano Ronaldo bashed the match officials for disallowing the goal. He said at that time (via talkSPORT):

"I don't understand, even a blind man could see it was a goal. The ball was half a meter into the net. I don't know if it's a coincidence or not but my best goals with the national team are being disallowed. I remember an overhead kick in the Bessa stadium which was not given."

Ronaldo also spoke about his overhead-kick goal, which was disallowed during Portugal's 3-0 win over Azerbaijan in a 2008 European Championship qualifier in October 2006.

Cristiano Ronaldo says personal records are no longer important

Cristiano Ronaldo insisted he no longer cares about personal records as he is focused on helping his teammates. Ronaldo's Al-Nassr defeated Qatari side Al Rayyan in the AFC Champions League on Monday, September 30.

Former Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane scored Al-Nassr's first goal (45+1'), with Ronaldo doubling their lead in the 76th minute. Brazilian forward Roger Guedes scored Al Rayyan's only goal in the 87th minute as the match ended 2-1.

After the match, the Real Madrid legend talked about his priorities in football (via BBC):

"It is not important anymore whether I am the best or not, I no longer care about that. It is good for a player to score goals, but for me it is better for the team to win. I am used to breaking records and I no longer look for them."

The Portuguese legend has made eight appearances across competitions for Al-Nassr this season, bagging seven goals and two assists. Ronaldo is the all-time leading scorer in men's football with 904 career goals.
