Chelsea fans are furious with Enzo Maresca's decision to include Wesley Fofana in their starting lineup to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday (September 28). The two sides are set to clash at Stamford Bridge in the coming minutes, but the fans are not pleased about Fofana's inclusion.

A number of them have questioned Maresca's decision to drop 27-year-old Tosin Adarabioyo for the French centre-back.

Fofana has been the go-to player at the backline for Enzo Maresca in the Premier League this season. The defender has played all five games for the Blues so far, helping them with three wins, one draw, and one loss. While he has been on the pitch, the Blues have conceded five goals and kept three clean sheets.

Tosin Adarabioyo, however, seems more assured in the backline for the Blues. He has only made two Premier League appearances this season but ensured his side did not concede while he was on the pitch on both occasions.

The 27-year-old has not been able to garner more playing time in the league though, and he will start this game on the bench.

Fans are not happy about this decision from the manager, and they have taken to social media to make their thoughts known with posts like these:

"I’m worried we’ll get worse without Tosin plus Gusto in back 3," a fan complained.
"Tosin should’ve kept his place," another fan claimed.
"Tosin on the bench? Men! Enzo Mareseca is about to sabotage his own tactics. Fofana is too clumsy ffs," one fan slammed Fofana.
"Why is Tosin on beach? He is a much better player and he plays better than Fofana," argued a fan.
"Fofana over tosin is a crime," wrote one displeased fan.
"Rather surprising he’s dropped Tosin. Let's see what happens, hopefully we get the win," added one fan.

Enzo Maresca looking for Chelsea to snatch up three clean sheets in a row

Chelsea will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion to Stamford Bridge, with both sides looking to rise up the Premier League rankings. For the Blues, fine form has been the order of the day, as they have racked up two clean sheets in a row in the league.

They will be looking to add another clean sheet against the Seagulls, as Enzo Maresca revealed during his pre-match press conference. The Chelsea manager said (via Football.london):

"Absolutely it is important because we don't concede. When you don't concede, you have more chances of winning. It's also important that the feeling we have... That doesn't mean every game we are not going to concede, that's not real, we are going to concede goals but it's important that we improve the concept between all the team."

Chelsea are currently sixth in the Premier League table while Brighton are in seventh place.
