Real Madrid legend Marcelo reckons new arrival Kylian Mbappe could help the club to multiple UEFA Champions League titles. The 25-year-old Frenchman arrived at Los Blancos this summer on a free transfer.
After a productive seven-season spell at PSG - where he scored a record 256 goals - the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner won a plethora of domestic trophies, but continental success was elusive.
Following Mbappe's much-awaited move to Los Blancos, Marcelo said that the Frenchman is likely to become a multiple-time Champions League winner at the club. He said (as per Madrid Xtra):
“Vinícius Jr has 2 UCLs, Rodrygo has 2, Militão has 2, Mbappe has now arrived. It’s possible that they win three or four more. It’s over.”
The likes of Eder Militao, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes have won the competition twice in the last three years. Last season, they did so by beating Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Wembley final.
Meanwhile, in his only UEFA Champions League final - with PSG in 2020 - Mbappe and Co. fell 1-0 to treble winners Bayern Munich. It was the Parisians' first foray into the title match of the competition, and they haven't reached there since then.
How has Kylian Mbappe fared for Real Madrid?
New Real Madrid striker Kylian Mbappe - as mentioned above - arrived at the club this summer, signing a five-year deal with the reigning La Liga and UEFA Champions League winners.
The 25-year-old hit the ground running - scoring on his club debut in the 2-0 win over reigning UEFA Europa League winners Atalanta in the Polish capital of Warsaw last month.

Mbappe was expected to score on his La Liga debut for Los Blancos. However, the striker drew a blank as the holders were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw at Mallorca.
Los Blancos then beat Real Sociedad 3-0 at home before drawing 1-1 at Las Palmas, with the French striker failing to score in either game. However, Mbappe scored both goals as Carlo Ancelotti's side beat Real Betis 2-0 at home.
Following a 67th-minute strike, Mbappe drilled fome a penalty seven minutes later to take his Los Blancos tally to three goals in five games across competitions.
