A hacker recently posted a meme about Lionel Messi on Lisandro Martinez's Instagram account.

After hacking Argentina and Manchester United star Lisandro Martinez's Instagram account, the hacker posted a now-deleted meme about Inter Miami attacker Lionel Messi.

Earlier on Tuesday (July 30), Martinez had his Instagram account hacked as some fans noticed an inappropriate picture on one of the Argentine's stories. The hacker posted an edited image of a masked Messi holding the Ballon d'Or award in 2021, with a caption that read:

"I'm sorry that my account was stolen."

Later on, Martinez posted on his Instagram story, asserting:

"I recovered my Instagram account. Everything is under control now."

Messi, 37, lifted his seventh Ballon d'Or award in 2021, beating the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Jorginho. He helped Argentina lift the Copa America trophy and guided Barcelona to Copa del Rey victory in the 2020-21 season before the Ballon d'Or ceremony.

During the 2020-21 campaign, the left-footed superstar registered 38 goals and 14 assists in 47 matches across competitions for Barcelona. He found the back of the net four times and provided five assists in seven games for his national side at the Copa America 2021.

Martinez, on the other hand, made just 14 appearances for Manchester United due to a number of different injuries in the 2023-24 campaign.

Ex-Manchester United midfielder Kleberson opines on Lionel Messi role after retirement

Speaking to DAZN, ex-Manchester United midfielder Kleberson insisted that Lionel Messi should try his luck as a manager after hanging up his boots. He remarked:

"The change in the way people see the MLS since [he] joined is huge. Everything he brings to the league already as a player from his performances, to viewing figures, to money is unbelievable."

Kleberson, who represented Manchester United 30 times, concluded:

"As a head coach for an MLS team, I think the impact could be even bigger. Obviously, not all great players become great managers but his chances of success at a team like Miami or [some other club] are high."

Since joining Inter Miami on a free transfer last summer, Messi has netted 25 goals and registered 16 assists in 29 overall appearances.

The ex-Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star is currently recovering from an ankle ligament injury. He picked up his injury during Argentina's 1-0 victory over Colombia in the Copa America 2024 final.

Inter Miami, meanwhile, will next lock horns with Mexican side Tigres UANL in their Leagues Cup group-stage clash on Saturday (August 3).
