Manchester United have set their sights on Red Bull Salzburg right-back Amar Dedic, according to Tuttomercatoweb. The 22-year-old has impressed for the Austrian side and is an emerging star in European football.

Dedic joined Salzburg's academy in 2015 and has since enjoyed a steady rise at the club. Last season, the Bosnian appeared 31 times across competitions, registering five goals and as many assists.

Dedic has amassed three assists from 15 games in all competitions this season. His efforts have turned heads at Old Trafford, with the Red Devils working to improve their squad.

Manchester United hope to return to their glory days under the stewardship of INEOS. The new minority owners have implemented multiple changes to the club's setup and have shifted focus to youth-centric transfers as well.

The Premier League giants have Diogo Dalot in their ranks and added Noussair Mazraoui to the squad this summer. However, Manchester United are keeping an eye out for emerging talents as they aim to build a squad for the future. Dedic has popped up on their radar.

However, prising him away from the Red Bull Arena won't be easy. The player is under contract with Red Bull Salzburg until 2027 and is likely to be available for just £23m. However, there's tremendous interest in his services at the moment.

Manchester United have struggled to impress in the final third this season. The Red Devils have won two and lost three of their seven games in the Premier League this season.

Erik ten Hag's side have scored just five times in the league while conceding eight. The English giants' lack of attacking impetus has been a concern.

Amar Dedic could be an interesting addition to Manchester United's roster. The Bosnian is a tremendous dribbler and could add another dimension to Erik ten Hag's attack.

Dedic is equally adept at operating on both flanks, which makes him an enticing prospect. Accorded to FBref, the Bosnian ranks in the top one percentage in the whole of Europe for successful take-ons per 90 minutes. He also ranks in the top three percent in the continent for progressive carries.

The player is relatively young and could be molded into a world-beater at Old Trafford. However, a lot could depend on Ten Hag, whose future at the club remains uncertain.
