Liverpool are reportedly considering making a move for Bayern Munich prodigy Jamal Musiala. The Reds were a bit quiet in the summer transfer window as they only signed two players - Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa. Arne Slot, however, is keen to bolster his squad, and his side have now put the Germany international on their transfer radar.

According to Football Insider, Liverpool, along with other top Premier League clubs, which include Manchester City, Arsenal, and Chelsea, are eyeing Jamal Musiala. Spanish side Real Madrid are also said to be keeping a close eye on the 21-year-old.

Musiala, however, still has two years left on his contract at Bayern, and his current market value is €130 million as per Transfermarkt. On the other hand, the Bavarians are unwilling to let Musiala leave. They have been doing everything possible to tie the German to a long new contract, but the player has so far turned down all attempts.

As per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern Munich sporting director Max Eberl admitted that getting Musiala to sign a new deal will be difficult but won’t be impossible. He stressed that the German is aware that it was Bayern who helped him get to the level he is at the moment. He also revealed that the club is looking to make Musiala the face of the club, and talks with the player are already underway.

Liverpool only signed Giorgi Mamardashvili and Federico Chiesa from Valencia and Juventus respectively in the summer.

Martin Zubimendi regrets not joining Liverpool – Reports

Real Sociedad defensive midfielder Martin Zubimendi is reportedly said to be regretting his decision to stay at Erreala over joining Premier League side Liverpool.

The Spaniard turned down an offer from the Reds in the summer transfer window to stay put at his childhood club. He was said to have backtracked on his word after coach Imanol Alguacil reminded him of his love for Basque food and hiking locally.

Zubimendi’s decision at the time came as a huge blow to the Merseysiders. However, Ryan Gravenberch has made the club forget the pain of losing Zubimendi, as the Dutchman has really impressed in the No. 6 position.

According to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, Martin Zubimendi has told Liverpool to try and sign him again in the January transfer window. It remains to be seen if Arne Slot’s side will go back for him when the transfer window opens in January 2025. They would still have to trigger his £52 million release clause as his contract with Sociedad expires in 2027.
