Domino's UK made a hilarious post aimed at Liverpool boss Arne Slot's transfer dealings. Slot hasn't signed a player since taking charge of the club following Jurgen Klopp's departure.

The Merseysiders have had a quiet summer transfer window and Domino's latest post pointed that out. The tonality of the post was comedic, as the famous pizza outlet wrote on X (formerly Twitter):

"Just had Arne Slot come in... and not buy anything."

Domino's is known for its hilarious social media activities, and the football world is often the center of its posts. Liverpool and their new manager are the latest to bite the dust.

As for the Reds' transfer dealings, the club has been linked with several names. Martin Zubimendi was on the club's radar, but the Spanish midfielder opted to stay at Real Sociedad. The Premier League giants were also linked with a move for Germany international Maximilian Beier, who eventually joined Borussia Dortmund.

Luis Diaz, meanwhile, has been linked with an exit. European powerhouses like Manchester City, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) were named as potential suitors for the Colombian winger.

The Reds let Adrian and Joel Matip leave for free while Thiago Alcantara retired. They sold Fabio Carvalho to Brentford for €23.4 million. Calvin Ramsay, meanwhile, joined Wigan on loan.

Liverpool continue falling short to bring in midfield targets

Liverpool made a host of midfield signings last season. Ryan Gravenberch, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Alexis Mac Allister joined the club. However, the club failed in its pursuit of several midfielders in recent years.

Jude Bellingham is the most notable name on the list as the Englishman opted to join Real Madrid. Aurelien Tchouameni was also on the Reds' radar, but he is happy and thriving at Real Madrid.

Apart from that, Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia were also on the Merseysiders' shortlist. Both players, though, eventually joined Chelsea. Zubimendi is the latest name to reject Liverpool.

While Slot still has a phenomenal pool of midfield players in his ranks, the Dutch manager carries the burden of replicating Jurgen Klopp's success. Bettering their third-place Premier League finish from last season would be a good start.
