"It’s a good sign ultimately" - Louis Saha heaps praise on Erik ten Hag's big decision with Manchester United star

Former Manchester United striker Louis Saha has admitted he is glad that Jadon Sancho and Erik ten Hag have solved their issues. He believes that the Englishman can be a good addition to the squad ahead of the upcoming season.

Speaking to BetFred, Saha praised the United manager for welcoming back the winger to the squad this summer. He also talked about how the Dortmund loan spell would have helped Sancho. On this, he said:

"Things are changing, including the structure of the club, and when you improve the structure, that's going to be advertised to everyone, including those individuals around the players. They may see now that all the decisions being made aren't solely the managers and we don't know for sure, but decisions may have been made that instruct Erik ten Hag to be on board with situations like this."

"They've got pre-season now and we will get a better idea if Jadon Sancho is part of their plans. It's a good sign ultimately, because it's showing that discussions are going on and his time in Dortmund has possibly helped Jadon's situation because maybe he wouldn't have been reintegrated if he had a poor spell in Germany last season," he added.

Erik ten Hag stated earlier this month that Jadon Sancho had been incorporated back into the Manchester United first team and the duo were looking forward to a fresh start.

Former Borussia Dortmund manager Lucien Favre questioned Erik ten Hag for his his treatment of Jadon Sancho at Manchester United. He believed the manager could have handled the situation better and told Tuttosport (via Tribal Football):

"Sancho is undoubtedly a top player. I remember when he continued working on the pitch after finishing training sessions at Borussia Dortmund. He wanted to improve in everything. Shooting, passing, crosses. It was a pleasure to see him during those extra 20 minutes on the pitch. I've heard that there have been problems, big problems, between him and Ten Hag. When somebody like Sancho, with his strong commitment, arrives late for training sessions, it means that somebody is not working properly."

Jadon Sancho played 102 matches under Lucien Favre at Borussia Dortmund before he moved to Manchester United.
