Fans took to X to react to Leny Yoro's injury.

Fans took to X (formerly Twitter) to express their opinions after Manchester United's latest signing Leny Yoro was forced off the field in the side's pre-season game against Arsenal on July 27. The 18-year-old featured for just 35 minutes before being taken off.

One fan spoke about Yoro's injury history, tweeting:

"Injury merchant."

While another Red Devils fan expressed concern over the upcoming season, writing:

"Season finished."

Here are some more fan reactions to Yoro's injury:

Yoro was seen in visible discomfort. The Frenchman was eventually able to get to his feet and walk off the field on his own but was seen limping.

It was a double blow for Manchester United as they lost star striker Rasmus Hojlund to injury in the first half as well. The Denmark forward had put Erik ten Hag's side ahead after 10 minutes but they eventually lost the game as Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli scored for Arsenal.

Red Devils fans will be hoping the pair are fit in time for their first official clash of the season, the Community Shield against Manchester City on August 10. Before that, they will finish their pre-season tour of the US with matches against Real Betis (July 31) and Liverpool (August 3).

Erik ten Hag provides insight into transfer business as he opens up about Manchester United squad depth

Ten Hag admitted the squad needed more depth.
Ten Hag admitted the squad needed more depth.

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has admitted that they need more depth in the squad. During a press conference at UCLA on Friday, the Dutchman spoke about the side's fitness issues, saying:

"We need the squad to be as strong as possible."
"We already had a very good two buys, so when everyone is fit we have a team who can beat everyone, but with the squad depth we have to catch up because we had injuries, we are vulnerable."
"We have to avoid this by getting less injuries and second, our squad has to be that good. The quality we have in depth we have to catch up, but even more because this season will be the survival of the fittest."

Ten Hag's concerns are valid after he endured a difficult 2023-24 campaign which saw the Red Devils suffer 45 separate injury setbacks, including the likes of Lisandro Martinez, Luke Shaw and Mason Mount missing for extended periods of time.

The additions of Leny Yoro and Joshua Zirkzee provide much-needed options for Manchester United, who are still in the market for full-backs and central midfielders, according to ESPN.
