Kylian Mbappe has signed a contract until June 2029 at Real Madrid.

Kylian Mbappe has opened up on his dream after securing a move to Real Madrid during his unveiling ceremony in front of thousands of fans at Santiago Bernabeu.

Earlier last month, Los Blancos announced the Frenchman as their new signing on a free transfer. They secured the player's signature on a five-year deal and will pay the star €125 million as a signing-on bonus.

On Tuesday (July 16), Mbappe addressed the Real Madrid supporters and insisted that he is happy to join the La Liga champions. He elaborated (h/t The Standard):

"It's such an incredible feeling to be here, just incredible. I spent endless nights dreaming about one day playing for this club, and today I'm one happy guy. I want to thank the president Florentino Perez, for always having great confidence in me. There have been a lot of things going on, but we've done it. Thank you very much."

Revealing his dream, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner commented:

"I'd also like to thank all those people who have put in a great effort for me to be able to be here today, who have done so much for me to enjoy this moment. My family are so happy here, I can see my mum crying. Now I have another dream. That's a dream of living up to this club's history. I can promise that I will give it my all for this club and for this badge."

Mbappe, who will don the number 9 jersey at Real Madrid, concluded:

"I'd also like to send a message to all the kids who are here today. I was just like you, I had this dream and today it comes true. I can tell you that if you have the passion, you can achieve your dreams. I'm very excited. The fact that I'm talking so much means that it's important for me to be here today. This is the club of my dreams and the biggest club in the history of world football."

How will France attacker Kylian Mbappe fit into Carlo Ancelotti's plans at Real Madrid?

During the 2023-24 campaign, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti relied on a 4-1-2-1-2 system after Karim Benzema's exit. He used Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo as his two players up top and utilized Jude Bellingham in a number 10 role behind the Brazilian pair.

Kylian Mbappe, who will turn 26 later this December, is expected to form a crucial partnership with Vinicius. He will be hoping to make the most of his switch and lift his first UEFA Champions League trophy.

Last campaign, Mbappe helped Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) win a domestic treble. He found the back of the opposition net 44 times and contributed 10 assists in 48 matches across all competitions for PSG.
