Barcelona icon Andres Iniesta has commented on the possibility of managing the Catalan club at some point in the future. The Spaniard is a culer through and through, coming through the club's famous La Masia youth ranks to lead the team to glory on the pitch.

Iniesta played 674 games for Blaugrana after making his debut for the club and established himself as one of the most successful players in the club's history. He won four UEFA Champions League titles, nine LaLiga crowns, six Copa Del Reys, and three UEFA Super Cups.

In a recent interview with Sport, the legendary midfielder was asked if he would manage the Blaugrana like his former teammate Xavi Hernandez. The two-time Euros winner said:

“Right now, I’m not even thinking about it. I want to start training and learn everything off the pitch and from there we’ll see what happens. Being a Barcelona coach is something big but right now I want to improve and see what happens."

The 2010 World Cup winner concluded:

"In the end, these are dreams and goals that you set for yourself, and when you focus on that, you don’t think about fear. You think about wanting to do things well and enjoy them, and then depending on where you are, you will have positive and less positive aspects, always trying to make the work you do good.”

Barcelona have a rich history of handing their former players the reigns of management at the club. Fans of the club will be eager to see if Andres Iniesta follows in the footsteps of other notable club legends like Pep Guardiola and Xavi Hernandez and take to the dugout in the future.
