Ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jamie O'Hara has slammed Liverpool right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold for signing a Real Madrid jersey amid rumors of a summer exit.

Alexander-Arnold, whose current contract is set to run out in June 2025, has lately attracted interest from Los Blancos. He could decide to leave his boyhood club as he is yet to sign a new deal at Anfield.

The 25-year-old Liverpool defender is currently enjoying his holidays after helping England reach the UEFA Euro 2024 final. He has recently been spotted with Jude Bellingham, who joined Real Madrid past summer, and also signed a Los Blancos shirt for a fan.

Speaking to talkSPORT, O'Hara opined on Alexander-Arnold's recent action during his time off and predicted that the player will seal a switch to Carlo Ancelotti's outfit in the near future. He said (h/t HITC):

"Bellingham and Trent out in Miami, living their best life. I saw him sign a Real Madrid shirt the other day. That's poor, that. I am not having that. You can't be having that. You can't be signing Real Madrid shirts as a Liverpool player. Nah. I am not having that. I think he will be out of Liverpool. I think he will go to Real Madrid."

Alexander-Arnold, who made his senior debut in 2016, has cemented himself as a regular starter for Arne Slot's side over the years. He has helped them lift a total of eight trophies so far, including one Premier League title and one UEFA Champions League trophy.

The 29-cap England international has scored 19 goals and registered 81 assists in 310 games across competitions for the Merseyside club.

Liverpool retain interest in English forward

Speaking on his YouTube channel, transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano shed light on the Reds' pursuit of Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. He said (h/t Empire of the Kop):

"What I wanted to tell you is what I'm hearing is the interest from [the Reds] in Anthony Gordon remains a strong interest, a concrete interest. He's a player they really rate internally, a player they really like. The name of Anthony Gordon remains high on [their] list."

Last month, Liverpool reportedly approached Newcastle United for Gordon, who is believed to be keen to secure a transfer to the Reds.

Gordon, 23, found the back of the net 12 times and laid out 11 assists in 48 overall matches for Newcastle United in the 2023-24 campaign.
