English forward Jadon Sancho has opened up on his experience at Chelsea after joining the side on loan from Manchester United in the summer. The 24-year-old claimed that he is "settling in well" at Stamford Bridge, and that he wants to keep the positive "momentum" going.
Sancho joined Manchester United from German giants Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2021 for a reported £73 million fee. He had enjoyed a stellar four-year spell with Die Schwarzgelben, racking up 50 goals and 64 assists in 137 appearances across all competitions.
The Englishman failed to replicate that form at Old Trafford, constantly flitting in and out of the starting lineup. He scored a measly 12 goals and added just six assists in 83 appearances for Manchester United and even fell out with manager Erik ten Hag during the 2023-24 campaign.
Chelsea signed Sancho on loan with an obligation to buy in August 2024, and has already hit the ground running for his new side. He has bagged three assists in three games, being a constant creative threat in attack for the Blues.
Speaking to club media about how he has settled in at Chelsea, Sancho said (via Tribal Football):
"I'm happy to have been able to assist for goals in recent games, I'm settling in well here and I just want to keep this momentum going and keep being able to assist my team-mates. Or even get a first goal, that would be nice!"
At an important crossroads of his career, Sancho will have added pressure to keep delivering solid performances to maintain an important role in the Blues' massive squad.

Jadon Sancho opened up on his first game for Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, a 4-2 win over Brighton & Hove Albion. The 24-year-old, who is on loan from fellow Premier League side Manchester United, appreciated the fans' reception and claimed that it "was a great feeling" to play at home.
Speaking to club media, Sancho said (via Tribal Football):
"I thought I started off a bit slow (against Brighton) but I feel like I grew into the game. I managed to win the penalty and I got the assist for Cole (Palmer), so I'm happy to be able to contribute."
"Overall, I was just happy to play at Stamford Bridge for the first time as a Chelsea player. It was a great feeling and I really appreciated the reception I got from the fans. It was a great feeling (to get a standing ovation from the fans) and my family and friends were in the crowd for the game, so that made it extra special," Sancho added.
Next up, Sancho will likely be seen in action when Chelsea face Gent in the first game of their 2024-25 UEFA Europa Conference League campaign.
