Former Chelsea star Jason Cundy believes that Mykhailo Mudryk needs to go out on loan amid a struggle for minutes at Stamford Bridge at the moment. Summer signings Pedro Neto and Jadon Sancho have pushed the Ukraine international down the pecking order for a spot on the left wing.

Meanwhile, Noni Madueke has seemingly locked down the wide position on the right flank, leaving Mudryk with little game time. This season, he's made just four Premier League appearances, all of which have tallied up to just 81 minutes of action.

Therefore, Cundy is of the opinion that the 23-year-old needs to be sent out on loan. He told talkSPORT (via Chelsea News):

"I think he has got to go out on loan. I don't see a place for him at the moment. He's now behind Sancho, he's behind Neto, he's behind Noni Madueke."

He added:

"He's way down that pecking order for me. I don't see a player in there because you know you have got football IQ. Rapid, but at times I feel as though the pace, his feet are too quick for his brain, he can't quite adjust quick enough. He has got so much under the bonnet, but boy, does he disappoint."

Mudryk has been disappointing since joining the Blues in January 2023 for a reported fee of €70 million. Since then, he's managed 66 appearances across competitions for the west London outfit, bagging seven goals and assists each.

It's unlikely that he will start Chelsea's next league match against Liverpool after the international break (October 20).

Tony Cascarino calls for more from Jadon Sancho after latest Chelsea performance

Tony Cascarino has called for much more from Jadon Sancho following the winger's latest display in Chelsea's 1-1 draw with Nottingham Forest on Sunday (October 6).

The pundit claims that the English winger was too conservative and made life fairly easy for opposite right-back Ola Aina. Speaking to The Times, Cascarino said (via Metro):

"The truth is that he made it easy for Nottingham Forest’s right back Ola Aina to play against him. There is no question that Sancho is a good player, and his touch is almost always really sound, but he plays such a conservative game."

However, Sancho's stats from this match tell a different story. He completed all three of his attempted dribbles successfully and delivered three key passes. Since arriving at Stamford Bridge, the Manchester United loanee has made four appearances, bagging three assists.
