Former Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who is known for his outspoken ways, once took a dig at Chelsea regarding their wishes to sign him. Ibrahimovic mentioned that Chelsea could not sign him as he has won more trophies than the club, and in a tongue-in-cheek manner, he added that it should have been him who tried to sign the London club instead!
"Chelsea could not sign me. I have more trophies than Chelsea. I should have been the one to sign them," Ibrahimovic had said.
Before the talismanic striker's move to Manchester United in the summer window of 2017, there were several reports stating that other clubs - including Chelsea - were interested in signing him. However, the tall centre-forward eventually went to Old Trafford, where he spent two seasons.
Now, on an Instagram post by 365Scores that displayed this quote of Ibrahimovic, former Chelsea captain John Terry has come back with a strong remark and commented as to why the striker did not move to London. The burly centre-back believes that the Swede would only have warmed the bench with the Blues.
