"He's got so much more money than me" – Fabio Carvalho names Liverpool star who usually pays for him on a night out

Liverpool star Fabio Carvalho has stated that Trent Alexander-Arnold usually pays for him on a night out, revealing that he is the Reds vice-captain's younger brother in a sense.

During a recent chat with YouTube channel Rising Ballers, Carvalho was asked to share his thoughts on a number of different topics, from his pre-season experience to Jurgen Klopp. However, the host also asked a few personal questions to the 21-year-old, saying:

"Fabio, when you go out with the mandem from Liverpool, you know, teammates and stuff like that... who's the first to get a wallet out and pay? I know it's definitely not you!"

Carvalho, who left Fulham to join the Anfield outfit in 2022, responded:

"He thinks I'm tight, innit? You know, we vary innit? I'll probably say if I go out with like Harvey [Elliott], Curtis [Jones] and them man, like the boys, we'll just split it. But then that takes too much time. So someone pays and then we'll just transfer the money kind of thing. Okay, if I'm going out with like Trent, he's got so much more money than me. So he just pays it. And I'm his little bro as well."

Carvalho, who has played alongside Alexander-Arnold 15 times at Liverpool, spent the 2023-24 season out on loan. After a sub-par six-month spell at RB Leipzig, the right-footed star relished his stay at Hull City.

The Portugal U21 international featured in 20 games in the EFL Championship last campaign. He scored nine goals and provided two assists for Hull, helping his loan club finish seventh in the league standings.

Liverpool boss Arne Slot showers praise on Jurgen Klopp for stellar nine-year-long stint

During a latest press conference at the AXA Training Centre, Liverpool head coach Arne Slot lauded his predecessor Jurgen Klopp for his stellar spell at the club. The Dutchman said (h/t Sky Sports):

"It's special what Jurgen did to this club. When he arrived, he said he was the 'normal one' but what made him special was the impression he left behind, winning trophies and his playing style... the fans loved it. Maybe he said that but I think the fans saw him differently. What he did for the club was more than normal."

Klopp, who announced his Reds departure earlier in January, helped Liverpool win eight trophies, including the elusive league title in 2020.

During his stint between 2015 and 2024, the German guided the Reds to 304 wins and just 85 defeats in 489 games across all competitions.
