Fans reacted after Chelsea owner Todd Boehly was pictured leaving his seat after his side went 2-0 down against Manchester City. The American billionaire was in attendance for his side's PL opener against the Citizens.

He picked up his things and headed straight into his suite after Mateo Kovacic grabbed the second goal for the visitors at Stamford Bridge.

Reacting to Boehly's decision not to see out the game, a fan reacted on X. The fan said:

"I’d be annoyed too if I invested €1.32bn into a mid table side."

Another fan said:

"He is going to buy 15 more players this week."

Another fan jokingly said that Boehly could be on his way to getting another manager.

"On his way to hire a new manager."

Below are more reactions from fans online:

Boehly, who is currently in his third year as Chelsea owner, has invested heavily into improving the current squad. The total amount spent on transfers thus far is estimated to be €1.32 billion, according to Transfermarkt.

However, there seems to be a lack of pace in terms of immediate results, and the latest defeat against Manchester City on match day one has left fans once again questioning the direction of the new owners.

"We competed against the best team in the world" - Chelsea manager reacts to 2-0 defeat against Manchester City

Enzo Maresca reacted to his side's 2-0 defeat against Pep Guardiola's City side over the weekend. The Blues have now failed to beat City in their last two meetings in the space of one week.

Despite the defeat at Stamford Bridge, Maresca was still pleased with his side's display against the champions. He went on to reveal that there were a couple of positives to take from the game. Speaking to the BBC during a post-match interview, he said:

"The performance was good and we competed against the best team in the world. We played well and created chances. The biggest difference was inside the box and how they managed the ball at the end, they are a master. We don't like to lose games but the performance was good."

He continued:

"We can for sure improve many things, we've been together for just six weeks. At the same moment, we liked to analyse the game and we tried to play football and create chances. It's not easy but we did well."

Next up for Maresca and Chelsea will be a Europa Conference League playoff game against Servette later this week. The Italian tactician would be hoping to get his first official win as Chelsea manager.
