Barcelona fans on X have blasted Eric Garcia and Ferran Torres after the pair struggled to make an impact in their 4-2 defeat at the hands of Osasuna. La Blaugrana suffered their first defeat of the season in La Liga at the Estadio El Sadar on Saturday, September 28.

The hosts got off to an excellent start, shocking Barcelona via goals from Ante Budimir's header (18') and Bryan Zaragoza (28'). Pau Victor halved the deficit in the 53rd minute with a clinical finish, however, Budimir converted his penalty in the 72nd minute to restore Osasuna's two-goal advantage.

Abel Bretones unleashed a fierce effort from distance 13 minutes later to make it 4-1 before Lamine Yamal brilliantly curled the ball past the keeper from 20 yards out to score a consolation goal. Ferran Torres had a big chance to score another for Barcelona, but his header struck the woodwork deep into stoppage time.

Fans were furious with Torres and Garcia's performances. The former assisted Yamal towards the end of the game but struggled with his movement and first touch, especially in the first half. He missed one big chance and lost three duels as well.

One fan posted:

"Eric Garcia is definitely leaving after this season. He can’t get better. Mid is Mid, nothing can change it."

Another fan tweeted:

"Eric Garcia and Ferran shouldn’t be registered for the Champions League squad."

Other fans also reacted:

How did Barcelona fare in their 4-2 loss to Osasuna?

Hansi Flick suffered his first league loss as Barcelona manager against Osasuna on Saturday. Despite this, La Blaugrana remain at the top of the table with 21 points from eight games, four points ahead of Real Madrid, who have a game in hand.

Even though Flick made five changes to the starting XI that defeated Getafe, La Blaugrana dominated possession with 75 percent of the ball. They also completed 587 passes with an accuracy of 87 percent. In contrast, the hosts had 25 percent possession, completing just 142 passes with an accuracy of 65 percent.

Despite this, Barcelona were unable to make the most of their possession. They landed 12 shots in total, with six being on target, but only had an xG of 0.68. Meanwhile, Osasuna mustered 11 shots with five being on target, generating a superior xG of 2.24.
