Fans are pleased with Bukayo Saka's performance in Arsenal's 2-0 Premier League win over Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Emirates on Saturday (August 17). It was an all-round impressive showing from the Gunners, but Saka particularly stood out for his remarkable output.

The Hale End graduate was easily the best player on the pitch as he partook in both goals. With 25 minutes on the clock, he came in from his right flank and curled a floated cross into the area where Kai Havertz was waiting. The German international powered a header past goalkeeper Jose Sa to open his tally for the season in fine style.

Havertz provided an assist for Saka as well. The German sent the ball to his teammate in the 74th minute, and Saka turned up the class with a brilliant effort. The Arsenal winger cut inside before sending his shot into the near post, beyond Sa to seal the win.

Bukayo Saka had five shots on goal, with three on target. While he didn't have any dribbles, he was a thorn in Wolves' defense, as he had 15 touches in their box. His performance in the Gunners' opening game of the season had fans delighted, and they took to social media to share their delight:

"Saka has been dynamite," one fan praised.
"Saka now has a goal template like Henry. He scored the same at the Euros." another fan noted.
"You can't even dislike Bukayo Saka. It's not possible. The boy is too good!!" another exclaimed.
"Saka what a player.." a fan was impressed.
"Same old saka💥🫶🏾 I’m glad he’s still HIM!!" said another.
"Saka will peak higher than salah," another claimed.

Mikel Arteta pleased with Arsenal's performance in Wolves win

Manager Mikel Arteta is pleased with the performance of his squad in their win over Wolves. Arsenal finished last season with a win over Everton and have continued that run of form.

Arteta spoke about the "willingness" he noticed from his players, saying (via football.london):

"What I’ve seen is the willgness. Whether we’re gonna do it or not, we’ll have to show it every day in how we play and the results that we take away.
"In the first game, there’s always that uncertainty about how you’re going to react, especially against a difficult opponent. We scored two, kept a clean sheet. Job done."

Arsenal were certainly the better side, as they dominated their opponents. They had more possession (53%), made 357 accurate passes with an 85% pass accuracy. They had 18 shots at goal with six on target, compared to Wolves' nine shots at goal, with just three on target.
