Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane has sent a message to IPL 2024 table-toppers KKR ahead of their Qualifier 1 with Sunrisers Hyderabad in Ahmedabad on Tuesday (May 21). Kane is coming off a dream debut season with the Bavarians.

The Englishman - who arrived from Tottenham Hotspur last summer - bagged 44 goals and 12 assists in 45 games across competitions. However, Bayern endured a first trophyless season since 2011-12, finishing third in the Bundesliga, their lowest league finish in 13 years.

Meanwhile, Kane has sent a video message to KKR, who are looking for their third IPL title after a fabulous league campaign. The England captain said:

"Hey Kolkata Knight Riders, a great start to the season. Wishing you the very best for the remainder of the season. Sending our support from FC Bayern Munich."

The Knight Riders posted the video message from Kane with the caption:

"A special message from Munich. Grateful for your support, Harry Kane and everyone at Bayern Munich"

KKR topped the league stage with nine wins in 14 games, finishing three points clear of second-placed SRH.

Harry Kane and Bayern Munich are done with the 2023-24 season, with their last game being a 4-2 defeat at Hoffenheim. They finished a whopping 18 points behind Leverkusen, who became the first-ever unbeaten Bundesliga champions.

After a short break, Kane will report for England duty ahead of their UEFA Euro 2024 campaign in Germany next month. The Three Lions - who lost to Italy in the final on penalties in the last edition - kick off their campaign against Serbia on June 16. Denmark and Slovenia are the other teams in the group.

Meanwhile, KKR are two wins away from their third IPL title, first in 10 years. A win over SRH will put them directly into the final, but a loss won't eliminate them from the fray. In that case, they will take on the winner of the eliminator between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Rajasthan Royals.
