Frank Leboeuf has claimed Chelsea might never win a Premier League title again if the club continue to run in their current way. Speaking to Instant Casino, Leboeuf pointed out the holes in the Stamford Bridge outfit's current system.

He claimed that the club won't be starting from scratch under Enzo Maresca next season having already spent a billion pounds in the transfer market since BlueCo took over. Leboeuf has even claimed that Maresca's side don't really have a natural leader, which is a big problem. He said (via Metro):

"Some fans think Chelsea can just start from the scratch next season, but it won't really be starting from the scratch after spending a billion pounds. The club can do whatever they want with their money but as a former player, I think it's kind of a disgrace to see what we are seeing."

The Blues haven't won the EPL title since the 2016-17 season. Leboeuf added that while Maresca's side might win cup competitions like the FA Cup, they won't be winning the league by any chance. He said:

"If they keep going the way they're going then they'll never win a Premier League title again, they need experience, it just won't work."

Leboeuf also pointed out his stint as a player with the Blues, claiming the club had a trophy drought of 26 years when he joined. He furthered that the drought ended when experienced trophy-winning players finally arrived.

While Todd Boehly and Co. have spent a fortune in the transfer market, their strategy has been to amass the best young talents in world football. The club lack experience all over the pitch, something that would once again turn detrimental, as per Leboeuf.

Chelsea supporters have already expressed their displeasure at the owners

The Chelsea Supporters' Trust launched a campaign earlier this year showcasing their displeasure at the club's current owners, especially in their strategies.

They believe the Blues, once an English giant, have become a 'laughing stock'. The group also warned that they'd hold protests, including organized chants during televised games to make their feelings clear.

The supporters' group are worried about the lack of direction under the current ownership. They have also added that irreversible damage could happen if the situation doesn't change with immediate effect.
