Fabrizio Romano claims Antony won't leave Manchester United

Manchester United winger Antony is unlikely to join Fenerbahce this summer despite strong links with the Turkish side. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that the Brazil international is expected to stay at Old Trafford despite being linked with Jose Mourinho's side.

Even though the transfer window is already closed in most European countries, the Turkish window remains open until September 13. Galatasaray have recently made a statement signing in the form of Victor Osimhen and Fenerbahce have also been strongly linked with a move for Antony.

As claimed by Metro, the Yellow Canaries were looking to sign the Manchester United winger on loan. However, Fabrizio Romano has dismissed the speculation, insisting that the 24-year-old is fully committed to Erik ten Hag's side.

Antony joined Manchester United in the summer of 2022 from Ajax in a deal worth a reported £85 million. However, the Brazilian has not been able to live up to the expectations at Old Trafford so far.

The winger has made 83 appearances for the Red Devils till date, scoring 11 goals while providing five assists. He has won one FA Cup and one League Cup during his time at the club.

Andy Cole backs Manchester United summer signing to succeed at Old Trafford

Manchester United great Andy Cole has backed the Red Devils' summer signing Noussair Mazraoui to do well at the club. The Morocco international has looked solid for the Red Devils following his switch from Bayern Munich this summer for a reported fee of €15 million.

Andy Cole has highlighted Mazraoui's confidence on the ball and the way he drives forward on every opportunity. The former Manchester United striker said, as quoted by Betfred:

“He looks good. He’s comfortable on the ball and gets forward. From what I’ve seen of him so far, he looks like a very good attacking full-back, and he’s a signing that I believe will do well.”

The former Ajax full-back has started all three Premier League games for Erik ten Hag's side this season, providing one assist in the process. The defender saw his stock drastically fall during his two-year stint at Bayern Munich, during which he featured 55 times, scoring once and producing eight assists.
