Former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is reportedly set to earn €10-12 million from his new role at Red Bull. The German manager has joined them as the new Head of Global Soccer and will start from January 1, 2025.

As per a report in Sky Sports Germany, Klopp's new job will see him take less than half of what he used to earn at Liverpool. The 57-year-old said he was excited to work with Red Bull as it gave him time to help the game and also learn new things.

In a video released on his Instagram account, Klopp said:

"Hi, some of you might have heard already, some of you won't. From 1st of January 2025, I will be head of global soccer at RedBull. Few months ago, I said I don't see myself on the sidelines anymore and it's still the case. But I still love football and still live working. And RedBull gives me the perfect platform for that.
"I want to share my experience. Which I collected over the years and we all know, they are much more successful managers out there, but in my career, I fought for a promotion, I fought against relegation, I fought for titles and I fought for trophies. Sometimes we failed, sometimes we succeeded and dealing with, that is not easy but it's possible."
"Then I want to learn again because when you're in the job and you have to play every three days, you barely have time for that. And now I have time and I have the opportunity. And I want to see and feel and figure out what is useful for football. So developing football a little bit as well. All said, really looking forward to it, but now I go back on my holiday."

Sky Germany have reported that Jurgen Klopp has added a clause to his contract. The former Liverpool manager will be free to take the German national team's managerial role if they call him after Julian Nagelsmann leaves.

Kevin Großkreutz furious with former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for taking Red Bull job

Kevin Großkreutz was on the Viertelstunde Fußball podcast and confirmed that he was not happy with Jurgen Klopp taking the Red Bull job. He hoped that it was fake news and added that he will be talking to the former Liverpool manager about the decision when they meet next.

The former Borussia Dortmund star revealed that he was sad after hearing the news as he didn't expected the German manager to join an establishment. He said (via Sport Witness):

"Somehow it still hasn't really sunk in. I was hoping it was fake news. It was a shock, and sad too. But as a fan, I don't have to see him in front of the Süd anymore. When we meet, I'll tell him personally that I think it's crap that he does something like that."

Großkreutz played 236 times under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund. The German star was linked with a move to Liverpool when the manager took over at Anfield, but the move did not materialize, as per ESPN.
