Chelsea fans expressed concern as head coach Enzo Maresca named Axel Disasi in their starting line-up against Bournemouth in the Premier League. The match was played at Vitality Stadium.

Axel Disasi, who arrived at Stamford Bridge in August 2023 on a six-year contract from Monaco, has been predominantly seen playing as a center-back. However, Maresca positioned the French defender on the right in their fourth Premier League clash.

Fans flooded social media with posts sharing their opinions on Axel Disasi's inclusion in the Blues' starting XI against the Cherries. While some fans were worried about the 26-year-old being named in the line-up, some questioned Enzo Maresca's decision. Here are some of their reactions from X (formerly Twitter):

One fan wrote:

"Disasi at RB ? Veiga in midfield…. Don’t ruin my night Chelsea 😭"

Another added:

"Shouldn't have started Disasi..."
"Disasi at rb is a crime. Nkunku should be our striker. Shame tht nkunku cant start for chelsea, he is our best striker.." chimed in another fan.

One account posted:

"Disasi at RB is not what I wanted to see to be honest. No Enzo or KDH in the squad. Veiga in midfield will be interesting to see. Glad Caicedo is available to play and the attack is still strong. Want a good win today. Come on Chelsea!"

Another tweeted:

"solid team bar the right back fairs"
"Disasi in 2024 ?? No naw We shouldn’t loose this match," posted another.

One user wrote:

"This lineup stinks"

While another wrote:

"Achaempomg trained with the team all week as the only available #2 and still got dropped for Disasi (a CB) and he never made the bench. He will not also play conference league. Let me say this: Chelsea managers are evil."

In their last Premier League clash, the Blues drew 1-1 against Crystal Palace and ended up 11th in the league with four points after three matches.

Chris Sutton's prediction on Chelsea's upcoming PL clash against Bournemouth

Former Chelsea star Chris Sutton shared his prediction for the Blues' Premier League clash with Bournemouth. The Cherries are unbeaten in the league so far, with two draws and one win, while the west London club have registered one win and a loss in three fixtures.

After mentioning Bournemouth's undefeated streak, Chris Sutton explained that he was unsure of what to expect from the Blues. While heavily relying on Cole Palmer, he predicted a 1-1 draw. In his column for BBC, the pundit wrote:

"Bournemouth are still unbeaten this season, even if their win at Everton was fortunate. ... they had a good five minutes, but that was it. ... which is a bit like the way my career went.
"I really don't know what to expect from Chelsea though, or if Cole Palmer is going to be fit enough to play. Because of that, I am going to sit on the fence and go for a draw," added Sutton.

In their last five clashes against Bournemouth, the Blues have bagged three wins and two draws. In their last meeting, they won 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in May 2024.
