Former Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos haa reacted after Cristiano Ronaldo scored his landmark 900th career goal. The duo played together for Los Blancos between 2014 and 2018, before the Portuguese forward left the Spanish giants.

Ronaldo joined Real Madrid in 2009, five years before the club signed Kroos from Bayern Munich. Together, they helped the club win the UEFA Champions League three times in 2016, 2017, and 2018, before Ronaldo left for Italian giants Juventus.

Toni Kroos took to X to share his thoughts in a funny manner after Ronaldo's goal for Portugal against Croatia took him to 900 career goals. The retired midfielder joked that all of the goals he scored in his career, including training goals, were not up to the 900 scored by the Portuguese forward.

"Don’t even reach 900 if i combine games and training goals."

Toni Kroos was never a prolific goalscorer from his midfield position, scoring only 10 percent of Cristiano Ronaldo's total in his youth and senior careers combined, as per transfermarkt. The German, however, was an adept creator as he recorded 166 assists at club level and 21 with the senior German national team, totalling 187 assists.

Ronaldo is the only player to ever score 900 career goals officially, and among active players, only Lionel Messi has over 800 goals. The Argentine forward remains some way from matching his rival's tally, having scored 838 career goals.

Cristiano Ronaldo was at his most prolific in his time with Real Madrid, scoring exactly half of his total tally while with the Spanish outfit. With 131 goals for the Portuguese national team, he doubles as the most prolific player in international football history.
