Fans reacted to hail new Barcelona manager Hansi Flick for his team's 4-1 La Liga win on the road at Girona on Sunday.

The 2022-23 La Liga champions were in scintillating form as they extended their winning start to the season with a dominant win. They top the standings with five wins out of five.

A brace from Lamine Yamal in the first half set the tone before summer arrival Dani Olmo and Pedri wrapped up the scoring for the Blaugrana, who avenged their league-double loss to Girona last season.

Cristian Stuani bagged an 80th-minute consolation for the hosts, but Flick's men remained in charge of proceedings despite going down to 10 men following Ferran Torres' 86th-minute dismissal.

Barcelona boss Hansi Flick advises Lamine Yamal on how to become one of the greats

Barcelona boss Hansi Flick has advised Lamine Yamal on how he can become one of the greats before the youngster bagged a brace against Girona. Speaking to the press, the Blaugrana boss spoke about Yamal, saying via GOAL:

"I think Lamine is at a high level but, at his age, he can and still has to improve.
"It's great to see him training day after day. But he has to move forward, improve, work hard. Champions don't rest. And I think that's good advice. If he wants to be a great champion, he can't rest too much, he has to keep going and going."

The 17-year-old has been one of the best players for Barcelona since getting promoted from the youth ranks in the 2022-23 season. He has scored 10 goals and provided 13 assists in 56 senior games across competitions.

Yamal has enjoyed a fine campaign for the Spanish giants, bagging three goals and four assists in five games.
