Manchester United fans have blasted Bruno Fernandes on X after he struggled to make an impact in their 0-0 draw against Crystal Palace. The two sides locked horns in their Premier League clash at Selhurst Park on Saturday, September 21.

The Red Devils dominated the first half with Dean Henderson making a pair of excellent saves to deny Alejandro Garnacho and Matthijs de Ligt. Manchester United then struck the woodwork twice in the same passage of play after Garnacho first struck the crossbar before Fernandes' effort from the rebound clipped it and went past.

Fernandes had another big chance to break the deadlock following the break but narrowly missed the top corner by inches. Crystal Palace threatened to find a late winner but Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana made some good saves to ensure his side emerged with a point.

Bruno Fernandes created two chances but failed to land a single shot on target from three attempts, missing one big chance. He has been poor by his high standards this season and is yet to score in seven appearances. One Manchester United fan reacted by posting:

"Bruno Fernandes is the worst captain in #MUFC history. An absolute disgrace. The worst player on the pitch by a mile. The club will never win a league with him as a starter."

Another fan tweeted:

"I will never rate Bruno Fernandes horrible footballer not good in pockets, no weight of pass i hate watching him play football"
Why have we normalised these Bruno Fernandes performances. When is it time to say enough is enough and just admit he’s horrible," one fan questioned
"Christian Eriksen might actually be a more creative 10 than Bruno Fernandes. It's time to break the ice," one fan commented
"Bruno Fernandes has been so vile this season it's beyond reason how bad he's been," another added
"Bruno Fernandes gotta be one of the most frustrating footballer to watch ever man.." one fan tweeted
"We need to go all in for Musiala I swear. Bruno Fernandes is killing me mate. The most wasteful footballer," another insisted
"Bruno Fernandes should not be starting games right now. Ten Hag has overseen nice improvement from last season overall but his in-game management has been horrid so far. #MUFC will not be serious in the premier league for another while," another predicted

How did Manchester United fare in their stalemate against Crystal Palace?

Manchester United dropped points for the third time this season as they were held to a draw by Crystal Palace. They are currently 11th in the table with seven points from five games, five points behind leaders Liverpool.

The Red Devils dominated possession with 67 percent of the ball, completing 547 passes with an accuracy of 86 percent. In contrast, Palace had 33 percent of the ball and completed 221 passes with an accuracy of 71 percent.

Manchester United were arguably unfortunate not to secure all three points as they dominated in attack too. They landed 15 shots in total with six being on target - missing five big chances and hitting the woodwork thrice (xG of 1.70). Meanwhile, the Eagles had nine shots with four being on target - missing three big chances themselves (xG of 1.01).
