Palmer won the Premier League Young Player of the Year award due to his quality performances throughout the course of the campaign. He led the league in goal contributions, with his 33 goals and assists.

Chelsea didn't enjoy the genius of Palmer alone last season, as he took his quality to the Euros in the summer. He scored once, the equaliser in the final against Spain, as England narrowly missed out on winning the competition, losing 2-1.

Palmer enjoyed an extended summer holiday and only played his first pre-season minutes in his side's draw against Inter Milan on Sunday, August 11. The forward is expected to start in their Premier League opener against Manchester City on August 18.
