Chelsea are interested in a move for Karim Adeyemi.

Chelsea are reportedly preparing to make a move for Borussia Dortmund forward Karim Adeyemi as they look to continue their summer transfer business. The Blues have been very active in the transfer market this summer, having failed to make any signings in the January transfer window.

Germany international Adeyemi has emerged in recent years as one of the finest attacking talents in European football. The 22-year-old made a name for himself in Austria with RB Salzburg before moving to Borussia Dortmund despite interest from multiple sides.

Chelsea are interested in the forward, who primarily operates on the left side of the attack, as they look to beef up their squad. New manager Enzo Maresca is due to commence pre-season camping with the players, and the club is keen to give him new players early enough.

Journalist Rudy Galleti has revealed the interest from Chelsea in the forward, noting that they have bumped him to the top of their wishlist. Adeyemi remains contracted to the German club until 2027, having signed a long-term deal when he joined in 2022.

Karim Adeyemi did not enjoy the best season in 2023-24 as he struggled for form and consistency. The pacey forward managed just five goals in 34 appearances across all competitions for his club, a poor return for a player of his ability.

Maresca's side are in constant communication with the representatives of the German star, as per reports. Adeyemi fits perfectly into the criteria employed by the Blues in their transfers in recent years, given his age and potential for improvement.

Chelsea youngster seals move away from club

Chelsea teenager Michael Golding has completed a transfer to newly promoted Premier League side Leicester City in a move that could rise to £5 million. The 18-year-old midfielder has signed a four-year deal with the Foxes.

Highly rated academy graduate Golding featured for England at the FIFA U-17 World Cup last year and made his professional debut for the Blues in the FA Cup. The teenager was the choice of Leicester City to slot into their midfield after they lost Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall to the Blues for around £30 million earlier this summer.

Steve Cooper's side had sought to sign Jakub Moder from Brighton, but have now decided on Michael Golding. Chelsea do not have a sell-on, buy-back or matching rights clause in his contract with the Foxes, and his younger brother Aidan has also left the Blues' academy to join Brentford.

Leicester City have added Golding to their squad, having also signed Jamaica international Bobby Decordova-Reid. They are closing in on a deal for Italian defender Caleb Okoli, as well, as they build towards their Premier League season.
