Arsenal fans have criticized Jorginho on X after he failed to make an impact in their 1-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur in their Premier League clash on Sunday, September 15. The Gunners secured a win thanks to Gabriel's 64th minute header.

Guglielmo Vicario made two top saves early in the game to deny Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli. However, he was left helpless when Gabriel Magalhaes headed home Bukayo Saka's corner. Spurs hunted for a leveler but Arsenal defended well to seal a narrow 1-0 win.

Jorginho - who was making his first appearance of the season due to Declan Rice's suspension - struggled to control the midfield. The 32-year-old was dispossessed thrice, won zero tackles, and lost five duels.

This left many fans displeased with one posting:

"Jorginho should learn Arabic asap."

Another fan tweeted:

"Jorginho can’t run anymore."

"At the end the work paid off" - Arsenal star Jorginho speaks out after Tottenham win

Arsenal midfielder Jorginho gave his verdict after the Gunners held their resolve to secure an important 1-0 win against rivals Tottenham Hotspur. They are now second in the Premier League table with 10 points from four games, two behind leaders Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta and Co. were missing key stars like Martin Odegaard, Riccardo Calafiori, and Declan Rice. The English midfielder was suspended due to a red card in their previous game while Calafiori and Odegaard are injured. Despite this, Arsenal defended well away from home to get over the line.

Jorginho said (via @ChrisWeatley on X):

"We were missing important players but we know we can count on each other and that’s what we did. We stick together and at the end the work paid off."

The Gunners next face Atalanta in the UEFA Champions League on Thursday, September 19.
