Fans have blasted Cristiano Ronaldo for his on-the-field gestures after he appeared to throw his Al-Nassr teammates under the bus. It occurred during the Knight of Najd's 4-1 defeat to rivals Al-Hilal in the Saudi Super Cup final on Saturday (August 17).

Cristiano Ronaldo gave Al-Nassr the perfect start, breaking the deadlock in the 44th minute with a good finish from close range. However, the Knights of Najd completely capitulated after the break following Sergej Milinkovic-Savic's powerful equaliser in the 55th minute.

Al-Hilal proceeded to score three more goals in 17 minutes. Alexander Mitrovic netted a brace, heading home in the 63rd minute before finding the back of the net six minutes later. Al-Nassr's summer signing Bento made a massive mistake in front of goal in the 72nd minute, allowing Malcom to make it 4-1 for Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo's search for his first trophy in the Saudi Pro League continues with the loss. The 39-year-old was furious as he was recorded gesturing to his teammates that they were 'sleeping'. Moreover, he raised his shoulders to the crowd before making a lewd gesture at the end of the clip:

How did Cristiano Ronaldo's Al-Nassr fare in loss to Al-Hilal in Saudi Super Cup final?

Al-Hilal proved to be Al-Nassr's kryptonite once again as they beat Cristiano Ronaldo and Co. in the Saudi Super Cup final. Al-Hilal had also outclassed the Knights of Najd last season to win the Saudi Pro League and the King's Cup.

Al-Hilal dominated possession with 56 percent of the ball, completing 296 passes with an accuracy of 85 percent. In contrast, Al-Nassr had 44 percent possession and completed 219 passes with an accuracy of 79 percent.

Despite being without Neymar, Al-Hilal dominated in attack too, landing nine shots in total, with five being on target. The Knights of Najd mustered five shots, with just one being on target.

Cristiano Ronaldo wasn't able to provide much more apart from his one goal, losing two duels and landing his other shot off-target.
